This is simply THE production to put on your letter to Father Christmas if you are searching for a night that is the epitome of Christmas cheer. Festive fun for all the family, Elf the Musical has it all; roller skaters, department store aerobatics, even synchronised Santas, what more could you ask for? The sets truly astonished me, the audience was transported from the North Pole to the bustling streets of New York in a heartbeat, accompanied by a phenomenal ensemble, you are guaranteed to have a complete roaring ride of Christmas fun. The audience interaction was reminiscent of beloved pantomimes, ultimately enhancing the overall experience of the show.

The production was perfectly cast, with an unforgettably talented ensemble acting as the backbone for the production. Elf the musical wouldn’t be complete without Barry Bloxham returning for his sixth tour as Walter Hobbs, the resident ‘villain’, who always earns our hearts by the bows. Kelly Banlaki as Jovie never fails to awe the audience with her comedic timing and impressive vocals. Not to be neglected, the dynamic duo, Dafydd Lansley and Natalie Grey as the infamous Matthews and Debs, who are arguably the fan favourites. Charlotte Dalton as Emily Hobbs, and for this select performance, Indy as Michael stole the show with his impeccable talent for his youth.

Of course, we cannot forget the heart and soul of the production, Jordan Conway as Buddy. You can't help but love an Elf’s effervescent naivety. Conway brought masses of humour and fun to the show and the infectiously fun spirit of Buddy the Elf could be felt throughout the theatre.

Santa's come early this year as ELF THE MUSICAL transports the Christmas magic of the North Pole to theatres all over the UK this festive season. Whether you enter feeling like Scrooge or can't get enough of the festivities, you are sure to leave feeling 'sparklejollytwinklejingley' whilst dancing through the streets.
