Wallasey Village in Bloom, established in 2013, is a close-knit team of sensational volunteers who aspire to make the area a better, brighter place to live.

Anne Barry, chair of Wallasey Village in Bloom said: “We decided from the start that having beautiful flowers would brighten people’s lives and hopefully ‘make our village smile with flowers’.”

The motives behind Wallasey Village In Bloom are truly admirable. Year after year, they continue to improve community morale through their impressive floral displays which run throughout the village.

Wallasey Village In Bloom also provides the astonishing post-box toppers we all know and love. These are hand-made by the talented ‘Poppies Group’, a few of the hard-working, creative volunteers involved in Wallasey Village In Bloom.

Not only have they stunned the community with their generosity, but they have also won multiple awards for their expertise in gardening.

As of now, they have been rewarded with 2 Gold Awards in 2018 and 2021, and one Silver Award in 2017 from the Royal Horticulture Society North West In Bloom in the ‘large village’ category.

As the colder months are approaching, the Bloomers are ‘hibernating’ for the winter as they plan for the upcoming year, yet they still have one last hurrah for the 2024 season.

Christmas Winter Wonderland is a festive event held on Sunday 24th November at Harrison Drive Island at 4 pm, accompanying the Christmas Light Switch-On.

This is a family-oriented event showcasing fabulous homemade Christmas displays from Father Christmas' Sleigh complete with reindeer to a kaleidoscopic display of wooden trees and snowmen. The fantastic display will stay in place until the New Year.

The ‘Bloomers’ hope to see you there as a chance to celebrate all the brilliant hard work that has been accomplished in the 2024 season.

Wallasey Village in Bloom and their ‘Bloomers’ are the foundation of the Wallasey Village community and their generosity is to be admired. We are very privileged to have them.
