SIX Tranmere Rovers have been offered new contracts today, ahead of the new season.
Manager Les Parry has proposed new deals to Aaron Cresswell, Adam McGurk, Mark McChrystal and Lucas Akins, while loanees Robbie Weir and Michael Kay have been offered permanent contracts with the Club.
The Club is also in discussions with Andy Robinson and Tony Warner.
Max Blanchard, Marlon Broomes, Joe Collister, Nick Wood, Ryan Fraughan, Sam Morrow and Jack Mackreth have not been offered new contracts and are available to sign for other clubs.
Blanchard, 24, joined Tranmere last summer from French side Moulins and made 24 appearances.
Broomes, 33, signed for Tranmere in September 2009. The defender made 42 appearances for Rovers, scoring one goal.
Collister, 19, made 14 appearances for Rovers in goal after progressing through the Club’s youth system.
Wood, 20, joined Tranmere last summer from Sheffield Wednesday. He made 12 appearances in defence.
Fraughan, 20, is another product of the Club’s youth system. He made 24 appearances in all competitions after making his debut last season.
Morrow, 26, signed for Tranmere earlier this season from Derry City and made 9 appearances, while Mackreth came through the Club’s youth system but had yet to make his first team debut.
Tranmere Manager Les Parry said: “I’d like to thank the seven players for their time at Prenton Park and wish them all the best for the future.
“We know which areas of the squad we want to improve on next season and will be doing everything we can over the summer to bring in the players we feel can do that.
“We’ve already had Zoumana Bakayogo, Max Power and Andy Coughlin sign new contracts while players like Enoch Showunmi, John Welsh, Ian Goodison, Dale Jennings, Joss Labadie and Ash Taylor are also under contract for next season so we have the makings of a decent squad already.”
