ONE fixture in Group B of the Passey/Triggs’s Trophy ended in a 3-3 draw between Liscard Brazil and AFC Bromborough, which saw the latter progress to the knock-out stages, thanks to goals from Kieran Hughes with a brace and Isaac Hamilton with a single. Bagging the replies were Shaun Reynolds (2) and Jake Williams.

Vineyard topped the group due to Lottie Dod being unable to field a team.

In Group D of the trophy Cheshire Vikings were eliminated after being beaten 4-0 by AFC Shore Villa who finished as the group winners on goal difference. On target for Villa were Shea Turpin, Jack Taylor and Harry Brassey with a twosome.

Progressing to the knock-out stages also were Shore Villa who won a tight battle versus North West Harriers thanks to a solitary goal from Adam Larway.

Leading the way in Group A are Trident who are yet to concede a goal following their 2-0 success over a battling New Brighton Town thanks to a goal apiece from Leon Clarke and Jacob Sampson.

But PLCCFC are keeping pace after stumping FC Greasby with a 5-0 victory in which Owen Ainscough gabbed a treble and Lee Davey added to the tally with an own goal completing the nap hand.

Action from Group C saw the top two teams provide a great contest that ended in a 3-2 victory for Finnigan FC over a competitive Barnston FC who went ahead through Ben Ryan, but a blistering equaliser from Danny Browne and a second from Kevin Coles put Finnigan ahead before Nathan Bennett-Anderson levelled matters. Claiming the winning goal in the last minute was Adam McCreevy in a great game.

Wallasey Wanderers could still make it to the final eight after their 5-1 success away at Park Royal due to Morgan Catterson netting a double and Macauly Lathom, Ollie Lowe and Jack Neilson added a goal each.
