AFTER a small set back against Nantwich Town in mid-October, two away wins against Trafford and Newcastle Town set the tone for a resumption of normal service as Vauxhall Motors despatched Mossley 3-2 at the vanEupen Arena.

Motors took the lead on four minutes as a Jawad Jebrin cross on the right hand side found its way into the back of the net.

Three minutes later, Jebrin was at it again as his cross was met with a header which was well saved by Finley Madigan with the ball falling to Josh Quarless who slotted home inside the six yard box

Mossley wasted no time in responding and when the ball fell to Jack Marrow right after kick off he beat Jack Atkinson at the near post.

With the score 2-1 after eight minutes it was arguably the most exciting eight minutes of football the vanEupen Arena had seen for years but what followed was both teams settling into the game, calming the flow and being resourceful in possession

That was until the 42nd minute when Paddy Kay picked up the ball past the half way line, beat two men and dinked the ball over Madigan. The Motors led 3-1 at the break and deservedly so.

The second half got underway with Jake Kirby-Reed, Nick Rushton and George Nugent replacing Paddy Kay, Connor Rankin and Josh Quarless.

But it was an uneventful second half until Eric Yahaya scored in additional time to make it 3-2 with two minutes to go leaving the Motors to hold out and secure the three points that keeps them at the top of the Northern Premier League West.
