CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship Division
FC Farndon appear to have turned a corner, with consecutive victories propelling them up the league table. The latest triumph came on Friday night with a commanding 3-0 victory over Sutton Rangers Reserves. Sam Williams opened the scoring with a low strike before Aaron Lloyd doubled the lead with a superb header, expertly finishing from a pin-point Alex Cleland cross. Lloyd then sealed the win, bagging his second of the game by latching onto a Jake Morris flick-on.

Dan Evans was the main man for Kelsall, netting twice, the victory was rounded off with goals from Dom Coates, Brandon Needham and Jimmy Studley. Cheshire County Cup
Waggon & Horses put league form aside to smash nine past Macclesfield Reserves 9-1. Last season’s unbeaten Premier Division Champions have endured a slow start to their campaign, but they delivered a dominant performance on Saturday in the Cheshire cup. Ben Barrett stole the show with a hat-trick while Lewis Coppack, Billy Fennell and Jordan O’Brien all netted doubles in a result which should kick start Waggon’s season.
Unfortunately, the day was not as kind to other CWFL teams as Cheshire Vikings, Moreton FC, Hoole Rangers and Cestrian all crashed out at the first hurdle, exiting the competition after tough opening round matches.
