NEW Brighton's long-expected relegation from the Liverpool Competition Premier League was confirmed after a nine wicket defeat by Birkenhead Park.
Malinda Pushpakumara (4-43), David Nevin (3-17) and Alex Harris (3-32) reduced the visitors to 93 all out before Steve Hird's side wrapped up a victory that leaves them one place above the relegation but endures New Brighton are relegated from the Premier League for the first time.
Third place Wallasey made 174-9 declared at Wigan but the hosts claimed a six wicket win thanks in part to an unbeaten 70 from Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams star Adnan Miakhel.
Caldy are pushing hard for promotion from Division Two and sit just a single point behind second place Sutton after a 65 run win at Prestatyn. The Welsh side looked in control after dismissing the visitors for 137 but Mohammad Rafi (4-15) and Umega Chaturanga (4-22) combined to seal a vital victory.
Parkfield Liscard also made a trip to Wales where they were bowled out for 107 by Northop Hall who went on to win by seven wickets.
