Chester Nomads have enjoyed a promising start to their Go2Day West Cheshire League Division One campaign, having won four from six to date, and after Tuesday, found themselves elevated to fourth place in the table, following a hard earned 4-2 victory at Capenhurst Villa. Kyle Smyth struck twice, and was joined on the scoresheet by Elliot Gorst and Rich Tomassen for the victors, with Josh McEwan and Brevin McCurdy in reply for the hosts.
Elsewhere, on target for Vauxhall Motors Res, in their 3-3 stalemate with local rivals, Ellesmere Port Town were Paddy Wearden, Tom Ruffer and Dom Hoppe. The Port merited a share of the spoils thanks to efforts from Ben Summers, Ollie Welch and Dion George.

Another top flight derby game went the way of Helsby, who overcame Runcorn Sports 4-1, courtesy of strikes from Jay Lee, James Anderson, Lee Turkington and an own goal, with Stephen Jackson bagging the visitor's consolation.
Willaston top scored in Division Three and celebrated a 6-1 rout of Capenhurst Villa Res. with Max Percival (2), Jack Wilkinson, Joe Humphries, Ben Roberts, and Connor O'Hara on the mark. Harley Morris netted for the home side and despite an effort from Ralph Chea, Sefton Park Rangers went down 2-1 at home to Rainhill Town Res, who sealed the result, courtesy of an effort from Reece Timmins and an own goal.

Friday evening saw the remaining two unbeaten sides continue to dominate proceedings in the Division One title race, with both FC Bootle and reigning champions, Mossley Hill Ath. now each boasting six wins from as many outings, and with identical goal difference at the time of writing. .
Jacob Jones, Jamie Alty and Dylan Westerside found the net for leaders, FC Bootle, in their 3-0 eclipse of Rainhill Town, while Mossley recorded the same winning margin against winless AFC Knowsley, with John O'Sullivan, Paul Pearson and Owen Cassidy hitting the target.
Jack Ward's lone strike was enough for Marshalls to take all three points from their trip to Ellesmere Port Town and third placed challengers, Newton, were in jubilant mood, after Danny Bulayima (2), Ryan Beigan and Domo Earle netted in a comfortable 4-1 result over Chester Nomads, who had Brandon Dickinson in response.
WEEKEND ACTION
Aintree Villa climbed to third place in Division One, following Saturday's 3-1 victory at Capenhurst Villa, confirmed by goals from Joel Keirnin, Louis Yool and Liam Van Gelder. Cape's scorer was Jamie Easton, while Runcorn Sports returned to winning ways, when efforts from James O'Connor, James Pye and an own goal secured a 3-1 win over Vauxhall Motors Res., who hit back via Theo McDowell.
Liam Grealis and Joel Robinson scored for Heswall, who claimed their second win of the season after they beat South Liverpool Res. 2-1. Jack Salmon found the net for South, while the points were shared, after efforts from Litherland Remyca Res.' Konstantios Misios and Mikey McDonald were negated by replies from Helsby's James Anderson and George Walters.
A smart double from Billy Rainbow coupled with a goal from Tom Black set Division Two leaders, Mallaby, up for a 3-1 result at West Kirby who pulled a goal back through Brendan Doughty and nearest rivals, Maghull Res., stayed in contention, following a 4-0 win at Chester Nomads Res.
Doubles from Liam Warman and Adam Riley, allied to a goal from Anthony Collings anchored Helsby Res. to a 5-0 blitz of Aintree Villa Res., and it was celebration time for Hooton, Nathan Cope, Lewis McKeown and Ben Lennon applying the finishing touches, in Saturday's 3-0 decision over Mossley Hll Ath. U23's.
Despite a goal from Kieran Hughes, Cammell Laird 1907 Res. found themselves on the receving end for the third time this season, after they went down 4-1 at South Sefton Borough, who sealed the issue courtesy of efforts from Bailey Chattick (2), Elliot Woolcott and that man, Josh Panther, on the mark again, for the seventh game in succession. John McDonald netted for Runcorn Sports Res., who were second best at Higher Bebington Kelma, Andy Noonan (2), Ethan Tellett, Alex Clarke and Kenny Mahon scoring for the hosts in a 5-1 triumph.
In Division Three, hat tricks from Danny Whitehead and Bailey Onwemene, bolstered by singles from brothers, Alfie and Charlie Naylor steered Shaftesbury to an 8-1 victory against Great Sutton and it's a thumbs up for Willaston's Corey Beavan, scorer of all four goals in his side's 4-2 verdict over Maghull U23's, who hit back via Luke Green and Harry Ley.
Neston Nomads U23's went fourth in the table after they overcame local rivals, Heswall U23's 6-0, and it was a good day for Sefton Park Rangers, Surahatah Drammeh(3) Ben Anderson, Sahil Majidy and Bradley O'Brien obliging in a 6-1 success over Ellesmere Port Town U23's, who scored through Lucas Robertswood.
The game finished all square between Rainhill Town Res., who struck through Reece Timmins and Carl Lownbrough, and Cammell Laird 1907 U23's, who earned a point thanks to a Teddy Galer effort and an own goal.
Finally in Division Three, AFC Knowsley U23's 5-1 victory over Capenhurst Villa Res. featured goals from Jack Wilson-Jones (3), Robbie Campbell and James Carlin. The visitors had Sam Cooper on target.
Early pacesetters in the Youth Division, are Vauxhall Motors, who savoured a comfortable 6-2 win at Helsby, thanks to goals from Dennis Mulville (2), Jordan Lloyd, Oliver Allan, Adam Parry and Jayden Lloyd. Jack Ross was responsible for both replies from the hosts.
Izaak Gaskell's fine hat trick helped Pilkington to a 3-3 draw with Maghull who answered through Luke Kilcullen, Dan Deary and George Deakin while Yusuf Abdullah and Muneer Fazl Mbarak netted for Newton SGA in their 2-0 result at AFC Knowsley.
Athletico Blues, with goals from Finnbar McGovern (2), Alex Callister (2), James Schofield and Kieran Law opened their account in style, after romping home, 6-1 at Maghull B, who had Jack Ross on the mark while third placed Christleton, savoured a 4-1 result at Mossley Hill Ath. with goals from Tom Farrall, Luke Kearney, Charlie Beyeler and Ollie Caslin. The home side's scorer was Ryan Fitzgerald.
Hooton's 6-2 victory over Litherland Remyca was highlighted by Luke Rathe's hat trick with Callum Fisher, Patrick Tabiner and Cam Darlington in support while Remmy's contribution was provided by efforts from Joe McLean and Eric Thompson
