TRANMERE completed their transfer window work with the signings of goalkeeper Reuben Egan and midfielder Saidou Khan on a season-long loan from Swindon Town.

Khan, 28, who is a Gambian international, has been with Swindon since 2022, having previously represented Chesterfield and Maidstone United.

On signing for Rovers, he said: “It just feels like you’re in a family club, and that’s what it’s about.

“I want to be in an environment where I feel like I can develop as a player and as a person and I think it’s the right place to do that.”

Manager Nigel Adkins added: “We are pleased to add the influential midfield player Saidou Khan to our close squad of hard-working players.”

Also moving to Prenton Park is goalkeeper Reuben Egan on a one-year contract.

19-year-old Egan joins following spells with Athlone Town and Galway in Ireland.

The Irishman will provide cover for Luke McGee and will work under goalkeeper coach and player Joe Murphy this term.

Adkins said: “I’m delighted we have managed to sign young goalkeeper Reuben Egan who has been training with us since pre-season and has made a positive impression on us all.

“We are looking forward to seeing how he develops under Joe Murphy’s guidance over the coming season.

On signing for Rovers, Egan, added: “It’s amazing, I’m delighted to be here. Nigel Adkins has been brilliant with me. Hopefully I’ll build up my experience, get involved and get a good season under my belt.”
