TRANMERE Rovers have confirmed the signing of former defender Declan Drysdale on a one-year deal
Birkenhead-born Drysdale is a product of Tranmere’s youth system, and left to join Coventry City in January 2019 before moving to Newport County in 2022, where he spent two years.
The 24-year-old is now returning to where it all started, and will bolster Nigel Adkins’ defensive options at the heart of the back line.
On returning to Tranmere, Drysdale, said: “It was a no-brainer. When I got the call, I just wanted to get in and prove myself, show what I can do and happily it’s all done now and I can’t wait to get going again."
Rovers manager Nigel Adkins said: “Having impressed since joining in pre-season training and being involved in the three games so far, we are delighted that Declan has returned home to Tranmere Rovers to join our hard-working, ambitious squad.”
