OXTON suffered a heavy defeat in the Cheshire County Premier League as they lost by 133 runs at Alderley Edge.
Neston's home game against Bowdon was abandoned after the visitors were bowled out for 257 with Luke Jones taking 4-50. The hosts were 81-3 when the rain came.
In Division Two, half-centuries for Ben Nuttall (63) and Simon Melberzs (65) took Port Sunlight to 249 all out at Bollington who replied with 157-8. Melberzs (3-36) and Gareth Brooks (3-52) did the damage as Port go second in the table.
Behind them in third are Maritime who beat Alvaney by 68 runs.
Upton are top of Division Three after beating Hawk Green by seven wickets. Umer Zeb took 4-31 as the visitors were bowled out for 125 before Chris McArthur (52) and Matthew Smith (50 rtd hurt) sealed the win.
