WALLASEY'S Matthew Keogh continued his brilliant season as he took 7-45 to dismiss Leigh for 110 in the Liverpool Competition Premier League.
Sumit Ruikar's unbeaten 33 secured a six wicket for Wallasey who now lie in fifth place.
New Brighton are cut adrift at the foot of the table after another dispiriting defeat which saw them bowled out for just 57 at Wigan who completed a six wicket win.
Birkenhead Park are one place above New Brighton after they clung on for a draw at home to Southport and Birkdale. Malinda Pushpakumara (5-26) and Khalid Wahbi (3-26) helped dismiss the visitors for 119 but Park were 97-9 at the close.
In Division Two, Caldy lost a low-scoring thriller at Hightown St Mary's after the hosts made just 63 with Umega Chaturanga taking incredible figures of 6-5 off ten overs. In reply Caldy were bowled out two runs short of the target.
Parkfield Liscard's Nauman Akram took 5-30 as Norley Hall were dismissed for 135 but the visitors fell short by 43 runs with their reply.
There was disappointment on Sunday for Wallasey as they lost to eventual winners Northern in their ECB T20 semi final. The Wirral side looked set for victory needing just ten runs to win off the last eight balls but they fell four runs short.
