CAMMELL Laird 1907 FC have completed two pre-season friendlies and prevented their opponents from scoring in both fixtures.

Having overcome Ellesmere Port Town 6-0 and Marshalls FC 5-0, they have begun their friendly fixtures in style.

Among the scorers in both fixtures were Kieran Hamm and Jimmy Ludbrook with a brace each.

Trialists are still bedding into the squad that contains many of the same players from last term including Ben Wood who has committed to Lairds for the 24/25 season.

Striker Tom Ley, winger Mike Speed and goalkeeper Casey Shakeshaft have all left the club.

Meanwhile, Lairds have been drawn at home to Armthorpe Welfare in the First Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Vase, the tie to be played on Saturday, August 24 2024. The winner will be away to Horbury Town or Ashton Town in the Second Qualifying Round. 

Three further friendlies are scheduled and are Thursday, July 11 at home versus AFC Liverpool with a 7.30pm kick off; Saturday, July 13 away at Holywell Town with a 2pm kick off and Tuesday, July 16 at home versus Bootle FC with a 7.30pm kick off.

League fixtures commence on Saturday, July 27 away at Foley Meir with a 3pm kick off. Then away again versus Stockport Georgians on Monday, July 29 with a 7.45pm kick off followed by a home game versus Winsford United on Saturday, August 3 with a 3pm kick off.
