NEW Brighton remain rooted to the bottom of the Liverpool Competition Premier League after losing heavily to Wirral neighbours Birkenhead Park.
A good bowling performance saw the hosts bowl out Park for just 102 with Damitha Silva (5-37) and Martyn Evans (5-34) doing the damage. But that was as good as it got for New Brighton who were dismissed for 56. Things improved somewhat in Sunday's game when The Rakers played Wigan who declared on 223-5 with Silva taking 3-99. The hosts managed to show some fight and closed on 118-9 in a drawn game.
Wallasey sit in mid-table after a 74 run win over Wigan. Richard Conlan (43) top scored as the hosts made 171-8 before Harry Meehan (5-24) and Matthew Keogh (3-37) ran through the visitors.
Caldy are third in Division Two after winning a low-scoring encounter with Prestatyn. The hosts made just 88 all out but Umega Chaturanga (4-30) and Asiri Gamage (5-12) sealed a 14 run victory.
Parkfield Liscard sit bottom of Division Two following a heavy home defeat to Northop Hall. The hosts were bowled out for 99 before the Welsh side cruised to an eight wicket victory.
