NESTON won a thrilling game in the Cheshire County Premier League after sealing a narrow one wicket victory over Timperley.
Luke Jones took 6-61 and Shahrukh Khan 3-42 as the visitors were bowled out for 204. Skipper David Hurst struck 49 but it was left to the last two batters, Harley Pritchard (38no) and Khan (16no) to get Neston over the line.
Oxton's Henry Dobson (107) hit a century with support from Dane Williams (62) and Jack Corran (53) as their side compiled a huge score of 283-5 against Grappenhall who closed on 110-7 in a drawn game.
In Division Two, Port Sunlight lost at Alveney after making 97-5 in reply to the host's 221-7.
Thisal Jayawardana's 4-13 helped seal a seven wicket win for Maritime over Stockport in a rain-affected game with an unbeaten 60 from Sawan Prabash Suwani Kankanange the batting highlight.
Upton's Division Three game was abandoned with the Wirral side chasing Chrisleton's 261-5 when the rain came.
