OXTON got the better of Neston in Saturday's meeting of the two Wirral sides in the Cheshire County Premier League.
Jordan Collier (4-37) and Alistair Crick (3-34) made life difficult for the Neston batters who made 154 all out. Skipper Henry Dobson (43no) top scored as Oxton eased to a seven wicket win.
Division Two also saw a clash between two Wirral outfits as Port Sunlight hosted Maritime. Wayne Greve hit 50 for the home side as they made 180-9 off 50 overs with Vensakar Kanthiraj (4-37) the pick of the bowlers. Jamie Hodgson (3-29) and Simon Melberzs (3-28) helped ensure the visitors closed 12 runs short of the target.
Upton are top of Division Three after a huge 116 run win at Winnington Park. Chris McArthur (43) top scored as the visitors reached 215-9 before Sophie Morris (3-9) led the way with the ball.
