NEW Brighton's woes at the bottom of the Liverpool Competition Premier League continued after they were bowled out for just 46 by Rainhill.
Just one player reached double figures for the Rakers before the visitors completed a nine wicket win in just 11.2 overs.
Birkenhead Park join New Brighton in the relegation zone after a home defeat to Leigh. The hosts reached 121 all out before the visitors sealed a six wicket win with all four wickets taken by Malinda Pushpakumara (4-39).
A miserable day for the Wirral sides was rounded off by Wallasey who lost at leaders Ormskirk. Matthew Keogh (5-58) continued his good form with the ball as the home side declared on 142-8 but the batters could only muster 58 all out in reply.
In Division Two, Caldy travelled to Southport Trinity where the hosts made 139 all out thanks mainly to Piushan Gamekankanamge who took 5-38. Lower order resistance saw Caldy hold out for the draw as they closed on 67-9.
Parkfield Liscard's trip to Wavertree was abandoned.
