EACH of Wirral's three Liverpool Competition Premier League sides fell to defeats at the weekend leaving two of them in the bottom three of the table.
Wallasey, who are sixth, suffered a 100 run defeat at home to Southport and Birkdale after the visitors had been bowled out for 144. Matthew Keogh took 5-32 but his efforts were eclipsed by Toby Pettman, who claimed 6-10 off nine overs, to skittle the hosts for 44.
Rainford made 226-8 in the match with New Brighton for whom Damitha Silva took 6/113 off a mammoth 28 overs. Silva then scored 72 alongside Luke Jones' 60 but the Rakers came up short by 39 runs.
Birkenhead Park were bowled out for 93 at Newton le Willows with the hosts reaching the target for the loss of four wickets.
Caldy are second in Division Two after beating Whitefield by 87 runs at Paton Field. The hosts posted 180 all out before Asiri Gamage (5-41) and Umega Chaturanga (3-39) ran through the visitors.
Parkfield Liscard are bottom of the table after a 50 run defeat to Southport Trinity. Jehan Yahathugoda (4-59) and Sadeep Saputantrige (3-24) bowled well for the hosts as Trinity reached 185 all out. Sameera Godawita then struck 47 in the losing cause.
