WIRRAL had a day to forget in their Cheshire Cricket League Division Two clash with Appleton.
Only one player reached double figures as they were bowled out for 51 before the visitors reached the target for the loss of two wickets.
In Division Three, Burton bowled out Frodsham for 103 with Stuart Daniels taking 4-14 before Andrew Van Beek (45no) led a successful chase.
Chester County Officers made 197-4 against Tranmere Victoria who were in contention thanks to Priththivkash Prasad (60) before a 33 run defeat.
In the Southport and District Premier League, Burscough scored 207-9 off their 45 overs against Irby with Tom Crawford taking 4-62. Rafi Afridi then hit an unbeaten 98 with support from Muhammad Umer (65no) as Irby surged past the target for the loss of one wicket.
In Division Two, Birkenhead St Mary's had a convincing nine wicket win over Churchtown who were bowled out for 72 with Robert Courtney's 3-22 the pick of the figures. Courtney then hit an unbeaten 62 to round off a great performance.
