OLD Parkonians had a day to forget in the Cheshire Cricket League after they were bowled out for 40 in their Division One encounter with Middlewich.
The eventual eight wicket defeat leaves the Wirral side in the bottom two.
Wirral CC are top of Division Two after restricting Aston to 142-7 off their 45 overs before David Lewis hit an unbeaten 69 to seal an eight wicket win.
In Division Three, Tranmere Victoria's Tejpal Singh took 5-9 off 8.5 overs as Heaton Mersey Village were dismissed for 79 with Vics wrapping up a seven wicket victory.
Andrew Van Beek (61) and Ian Corner (77) put on 148 for the second wicket as Burton posted 233-5 against Prestbury. Despite the challenging target, the hosts won by five wickets thanks to an unbeaten 127 from Will Worswick.
