TRANMERE Rovers have been awarded the EFL’s Gold Family Excellence Award and placed highest among all League Two clubs and seventh in the entire Football League for the award which recognises the outstanding quality of the family experience clubs provide.
The EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme rewards clubs with Gold, Silver and Bronze status for the quality of their match experience across a range of touchpoints including ticket purchase, matchday entertainment, accessibility, facilities and communications.
Of the 68 achieving Family Excellence status, 13 were recognised as ‘Gold Award’ winners for the exceptional family experience they provide for supporters on matchdays. 28 clubs received Silver, while 27 received Bronze.
Rovers were one of the 13 achieving the ‘Gold Award’, and placed highest among all clubs in League Two, and seventh of all EFL Clubs assessed including Championship and League One clubs.
Rovers' Head of Operations and Matchday, Christine Roberts, said: “We are really pleased to be awarded the Gold Family Excellence Award. We worked really hard to create a great atmosphere for our long-standing supporters and being welcoming for new supporters as we grow our supporter base.
“I am really proud of the matchday team for ensuring that Prenton Park is a welcoming place as Wirral’s Family Club.”
