A CRICKET club in the heart of Bromborough Pool Village is looking to start a women’s cricket team.
Maritime Cricket Club are currently looking for women interested in getting involved in the sport and urging those who are to register their interest.
The club has already secured the assistance of two women who have played cricket at the highest level, and are affiliated coaches for Cheshire, to help the team.
If enough interest is generated, the team will look to start meeting up in June.
Pratham Shetty is amongst those organising plans for the new team, and said: "We are looking at anyone between the age of 13 and above - age is definitely not an issue, as this is all about having a bit of fun and enjoying your time.
“This will be softball (cricket) and no prior knowledge or experience is required, and we'll be looking to go to local cricket festivals.
“We do need at least 10 to start the team, as we can then look to start running sessions during the weekend or evenings, depending on what suits best.”

You can also find out more information at Maritime Cricket Club's own website, where there is an online form to register your interest in playing: https://maritime.play-cricket.com/Aboutus.
