BETHANY Williamson of Birkenhead Trampoline Club will compete in her sixth World Championships in Birmingham this November after British Gymnastics announced the team representing Great Britain at the FIG Trampoline, DMT and Tumbling World Championships.
Eight British athletes from each of the three main disciplines have been selected to compete alongside the best in the world in front of a home crowd for the first time in 12 years.
Taking place at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena from November 9-19, the 24 selected British gymnasts will be among 100 athletes from over 50 countries battling it out for the title of World Champion.
Williamson, 23, who will take part in Double Mini Trampoline, said: “‘I’m so excited to be taking part in my sixth World Championships this November - the feeling of competing on the world’s biggest stage is never lost on me, so I’m really looking forward to getting back out there.
"We have an amazing roster of athletes taking part, so I’m delighted to be a part of the team and continue to learn from all of incredible talent taking part.
"The next few weeks for me are about working as hard as I can to give myself the best chance of showing what I can do when the time comes.”
