BIRKENHEAD Trampoline Club will send both a gymnast and a coach to represent Great Britain at the forthcoming 2022 European Championships.
Beth Williamson, 22, will fly out to Rimini in Italy at the end of May with the competition commencing on June 1 2022.
Beth’s coach, Sarah Madge, will also be flying out to Italy after being selected as one of the Great Britain Team coaches for the event.
Sarah said: “Beth did fantastic hitting the qualification score for this event at every trial she attended, and we are extremely proud of her achievements.
“After Europeans Beth will turn her focus onto securing a spot on the team for World championships in Bulgaria at the end of the year.”
Declan Carter, 13, has also been selected to represent Great Britain at his first international. Declan will fly to Portugal in July with the team to take part in the 2022 Scalabis cup.
Declan has made a massive step up in his sport this year and its currently also working on qualifying for the World Age Championships in November 2022.
Sarah said: “Declan is one of our most promising upcoming athletes and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
Meanwhile Josie Ryan,14, has successfully secured herself a spot on the England National Squad for 2022 and is currently working on qualifying to Loule Cup, Portugal in October 2022.
"Josie has worked incredible hard to achieve this space and we are so proud of her being named on the team," said Sarah. "Josie is also looking to qualify a spot to this year’s National championships in the UK.
A final athlete, Theo Davies, 11, has been selected onto the England Foundation program 2022. He is currently working on also qualifying to the National championships this year.
Sarah added: “I am extremely proud of all four of our athletes' achievements already this year.
"They have done themselves, their club and their families proud and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for them all. They have all put in a huge amount of training and commitment to their sport they deserve all the success they are achieving.”
