Tranmere Women returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 10-0 victory over Mossley Hill in Liverpool.
Forward Laura Pennington led the way with four second-half goals as her side hit six after the break and never let up in a remorseless attacking display.
Rovers goal tally for the season now up to 40 in just the 9 league games.
Captain Lindsey Smith got the ball rolling when Tranmere forced successive corners and from the second, she rose highest to plant a header past the keeper.
Forward Rachel Davison was unrelenting with the ball at her feet, driving at the home defence repeatedly in the early stages and creating opportunities for those around her.
It was top scorer Heather Ryan though that went on to double Rovers lead. Latching onto a lifted through ball from midfielder Jade Collins and beating the Mossley keeper.
Smith became the provider as Rovers grabbed a third after fifteen minutes. Her ball over the top finding Ellie Doyle who’s finish into the corner put the away side in a comfortable position.
Davison and Doyle linked up just before the break and finished with Doyle driving the ball through the keepers legs for her second and Tranmere’s fourth.
Pennington's arrival in the second half brought a new forward threat for the home side.
Scoring one minute into the second half she added her second not long after and her third following a cross from Jess Durr. A fifteen minute hat-trick that well and truly putting the game out of sight.
Davison, another Pennington finish and a late Olivia Hulmston goal completed the rout.
