The winner of Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off has finally been crowned.

'Bake Off' is the ultimate baking battle where passionate amateur baking fans compete to be crowned the UK's Best Amateur Baker.

And over the past few weeks, bakers from up and down the country have been trying to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leit.

Tonight, the finalists went all out with signature scones, afternoon teas "fit for a final" and tiered celebration cakes.

Although 'everything went wrong' for one contestant (our sympathies, Dylan), a winner was eventually crowned.

Georgie was crowned the winner.

A love and passion for baking is a must

It is good if you have a broader baking repertoire than just baking cakes. In the series, there is a bread, biscuit and pastry week among others.

It is important to note though that it is ok if people haven’t made literally everything. There is always time to practice throughout the process and lots of bakers who have appeared in the tent will say how much they learnt throughout the process in a supportive environment.

Applications open for series 16 of the Great British Bake Off

A spokesperson for the show said: "Applications for the next series of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF are NOW OPEN!

"We’re looking for the next batch of talented home bakers to enter the tent in 2025!

"Are you a star baker in the making?

"Are you fabulous with flavours and wonderful with a whisk?
