AN intimate documentary looking at the life and career of Formula 1 icon Michael Schumacher launches tomorrow on Netflix.

Schumacher features rare interviews and previously unreleased archive footage and paints a portrait of the seven-time world champion.

It is also the only film supported by the Schumacher family.

What to expect from the Michael Schumacher Netflix documentary?

The documentary looks at what motivated the German on his way to the top of one of the world’s most challenging and dangerous sports and earned him the adoration of millions worldwide.

What F1 stars will feature in the Michael Schumacher Netflix documentary?

As well as archive footage of the seven-time world champion himself, the documentary will feature a number of the sport’s biggest stars.

Michael’s brother Ralf, an F1 driver himself, and Michael’s son, Mick, a rookie in F1 this year, both feature.

Sebastien Vettel, a four-time world champion who idolised Schumacher growing up in Germany, and Mark Webber also speak in the film.

While the documentary features former teammates and team principals of Schumacher in Ross Brawn, Jean Todt and Eddie Irvine, as well as some of his biggest rivals on the track in Damon Hill, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard.

When can I watch the new Michael Schumacher Netflix documentary?

Schumacher will land on Netflix on Wednesday, September 15.

The near two-hour documentary will be available to stream in full from 8am.
