PARENTS and staff have been left with no explanation as to why a Wallasey nursery was closed with immediate effect on Monday (February 20).
Eversley Nursery School was opened and registered in November 2021 as an early years provider.
In an email sent to the Globe, parents were told by the premises owner that the nursery would be closing with immediate effect at 6pm that day.
The email also said: "I apologise for the lack of notice which could not be avoided.
"Any fees owed to you will be refunded in due course."
A source also told the Globe that staff members at the nursery were informed about the closure at lunchtime that same day leaving them with no job.
A parent whose son attended the nursery, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: "All the girls that worked there were lovely.

"It does just worry me as to why it has shut so suddenly. I was so shocked when I got the email.
"I just want answers too as it doesn’t seem good closing with immediate effect."
When contacted for a comment about the closure, a spokesperson for OFSTED, said: "The nursery was last inspected on January 31 2023 and, following this, we undertook enforcement action to make sure children there were safe.
"The provider has since resigned their registration and decided to close the setting."
Cllr Kathy Hodson, chair of Wirral Council's Children, Young People & Education Committee, said: "The sudden closure of a nursery can be a very difficult and upsetting time for children and their families, and council staff have been offering assistance to those affected.
"Following the closure of Eversley Nursery, Wirral Council staff have been helping families to access other nursery places and have taken steps to ensure any funding can be obtained to support them in new childcare. The council has also offered support to staff from Eversley Nursery to find alternative employment."
