DRUGS and firearms with a street value of around £1.5m were seized from Wirral homes as part of a police raid.
Six people from across the borough were arrested following the searches by Merseyside Police’s Matrix team on Friday, May 27.
Officers recovered 16 ½ kilos of what is believed to be heroin from an address in Wallasey, while a firearm with a substantial amount of ammunition seized at a home in Bidston.
Between 150 and 200 kilos of cannabis with a street value of around £1m was also found during the raids.
Two people from Greater Manchester were also arrested.
Matthew Maguire, 37, of Hogarth Drive, Noctorum has been charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs, possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
Kim Hodgin, 25, of Tollemache Road, Bidston has been charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.
Derek Belshaw, 47, of Drummers Lane, Wigan has been charged with conspiracy to supply controlled drugs and possession with intent to supply.
Gary Clare, 49, The Cliff, New Brighton has been charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply.
The other four people arrested were interviewed and released on bail pending further enquiries.
