I READ your story of the theft of the collection box from Tam O'Shanter's urban farm in Bidston and was left wondering just how low can some yobs go?
My partner and I went to visit the farm recently with our two grandchildren and neice, I must say what a fantastic day we had.
The hard work and dedication the staff put in (and I presume a few of these are volunteers) is amazing.
The children had a great day out looking at the ducks, pigs, goats and baby lambs.
We spent about five hours there and even had a family picnic on the grass.
On our way out, we went to make a donation by the play area and the children started to feed it their coins, with every feed the model cow collection box gave us a Moo!
We then see the shocking news in this week's paper that some low life break in and steal about £20. It will no doubt cost more than this to repair the cow.
This farm is one of a few attractions these days where entrence is free you can take take a picnic, buy ice-creams and a nice cup of tea and is not over-priced.
Next time we go back, which will be very soon, we will still feed the cow with pennies.
But will look out for a ranger to donate to in case the low life return.
