I WAS initially, perplexed as to why when what appeared to be perfectly adequate pavement in Greasby was being ripped up to be replaced with tarmac, when only yards away there are craters in the road which show no signs of being repaired.
Is "footpath tarmac" different to "road tarmac" or am I missing something?
I think I may have uncovered the cunning plan.
Rather, than go to the expense of putting up 20mph signs and traffic-calming humps, leaving the holes in the road achieves the same objective, at no cost.
Nice one Wirral!
