A GROUP of students from Carlett Park will join officers and crew onboard Royal Navy mine hunter HMS Hurworth when she docks in Liverpool this Saturday, May 21, for a three-day visit.
Alongside at Huskisson Dock from late morning, the ship will not be open to members of the public on this occasion, but will instead host local groups and organisations for tours.
"It's slightly disappointing that we are unable to open to visitors during our time in Liverpool,” said Lieutenant Commmander Richard Goldstone, the ship's Commanding Officer.
"But we do hope that the local groups and youngsters will enjoy their time on board and be interested to hear about the modern Royal Navy and the role of HMS Hurworth."
Groups touring the vessel include Mersey Naval and Maritime Society, World Ship Society, Wirral Metropolitan College students from Carlett Park Campus and Sea Cadets from across the area.
