STAFF at Burton's Foods in Moreton will find out later this week if their jobs will be saved.
The Moreton-based factory, which produces Jammy Dodgers and Wagon Wheels, was due for complete closure but union reps asked bosses to consider a proposal which would keep around half of its workers.
The plans, which were put forward last month, involved the plant continuing its seasonal packing and chocolate refinery.
Now management is set to meet with employees on Friday to reveal the factory’s fate.
A Burton's spokesperson said: "The period of four weeks extended consultation on Seasonal Packing and Chocolate Refinery is now drawing to a close.
"A recommendation will be made to the Burton's Foods Board on Thursday, May 19.
"Subject to their approval, an announcement will be made to all Moreton employees on Friday, May 20 regarding the future of seasonal packing and chocolate refining."
