FOR the first time in my 75 years I did not vote in the local elections.
I am appalled at the apathy of candidates in the Claughton ward. Apart from the Labour Party I had no idea of the names of other candidates or what they stood for.
Has the fight gone out of politics?
Claughton is a pretty safe Labour seat, and as such should have been vigorously contested by other parties - not leaving those of us who do not vote Labour disenfranchised.
