Wirral Council is hosting a jobs fair and information day next week helping people seeking work to meet potential employers from across the borough.
Council leader Jeff Green said: "This will be a great way for businesses from all over Wirral who have vacancies or who are likely to employ people in the near future to meet with potential candidates at no additional cost to the company.
"For those people who are currently looking for work it’s a great opportunity to meet with employers to find out what job opportunities will be on offer in the next three to 12 months."
He said the opening of the Marine Point development later this year will create 800 new jobs and is seen a "very exciting and significant step in the renaissance of New Brighton."
The fair is being organised with Jobcentre Plus and will be held at The Floral Pavilion next Monday, May 23.
Employers confirmed to attend include Morrisons, Grosvenor Casino, The Light Cinema, De Vere Academy and Alternative Futures.
Jobs will be available in a range of sectors including retail, leisure, care, administration and customer service. Support agencies such as Jobcentre Plus, Wirral Biz, Wirral Met College, Volunteer Bureau and Next Step careers advice will also be attending.
It is expected the fair will attract a lot of interest so register on the dedicated booking line on 0151 691 8288, between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
