FIREFIGHTERS used cutting equipment to free an 80-year-old woman from her car following a crash in West Kirby.
Crews from West Kirby and Upton were called to Banks Road just after 2pm, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
When they arrived one car was on its side and the woman, approximately aged 80, was trapped inside.
Firefighters cut the roof off the car to release her and she was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital for a precautionary check.
