BIRKENHEAD Scouts Special Needs Section is organising a Charity Gala Dinner evening at the Kingsland Cabaret Restaurant on Saturday.
Proceeds from the night, which will feature top comedian Billy Shine, will go towards the 'Thee and Me Camp', a week-long getaway in the grounds of Dehon House in Ledsham. The aim is to take along 48 youngsters with a variety of special needs, each with an able-bodied Scout or Venture Scout partner, and a support staff of caterers, nurses, admin and activity staff.
The camps cost £14,000, paid for by events like this gala and donations from companies large and small.
If you can help and want a great evening's entertainment, ring the Kingsland direct or contact Neil Flowers on 652-8416.
