ASDA Price! A cheque for £2,000 from Asda staff and customers in Wallasey was presented to Janet Walton, Wallasey's sextuplet mum, for the Newborn Appeal. The store plans to raise £5,000 for the neo-natal intensive care unit at Liverpool Women's Hospital.
Tonight (Wednesday) there is an aromatherapy and make-over evening at the Body Shop in Birkenhead Pyramids in aid of the Newborn Appeal. £2 at the door.
Janet thanks readers who have helped raise £690,000 for the Newborn Appeal since 1992. For Christmas stocking fillers they have panda pin badges for £1, available from the appeal office at the hospital. There is a charity shop in Wallasey Road and a Metropolitan Cathedral carol concert on Saturday afternoon, December 13.
