WEST Wirral Lions have raised over £4,000 for charities over the year. They helped buy a mini bus for Wirral Heartbeat and a hoist for West Kirby Swimming Club, to name just two.
West Wirral Lions have also responded to national and international Lions appeals, such as children's needs in Bosnia and the training of doctors.
"While serving the community, Lions enjoy a good social life with events planned throughout the year. Anyone interested can attend the monthly meetings on the third Monday at 8pm in the Railway Hotel, Meols," says woman president Lion Fiona Dillon - or contact Lion Joan Pritchard on 512 7510, or Bob Dillon 677 4961.
The club president welcomed the District Governor Adrian Senior, Regional membership chairman Bob Dillon and Zone chairman Joan Pritchard (pictured).
