FINGERS crossed! Hoylake Community centre, Hoyle Road, is preparing a Lottery bid for £500,000 to refurbish the youth and community centre. There are hopes for a performing arts centre in a part which is in a derelict condition.
Councillor Dave Jackson, leader of Wirral Council and Hoylake councillor John Hale, leader of the Conservatives, are being asked to support the bid as the council owns the centre.
Local MP Stephen Hesford visited Hoylake Community Centre and said afterwards he would endorse the Lottery funding bid.
Secretary Carla Williams, of Fulton Avenue, West Kirby, says they are pleased with the cross party support of councillors and the Wirral West MP. The Lottery bid goes in this Autumn. She can be contacted on 625-9505.
