FOUR hundred jobs may be created in Bromborough if planners give the go-ahead for a business park development with a foodstore and leisure complex.
Lever Brothers and Trinity Investments have lodged a joint application with Wirral Council this week to transform the disused former animal feeds site adjacent to Unilever works on the A41, Bromborough, opposite the Village Hotel.
Levers are keen to develop as the land is now derelict and surplus to company needs.
The company also believes the proposal will make use of the land without affecting operations at the nearby factory. The plan includes landscaping, with traffic handled by a new access opposite Wirral International Business Park.
Developers Trinity believe the plan will transform a potential eyesore into an attractive development - a magnet for further regeneration.
David Harrison, of Trinity, believes the development could be in place by the end of next year if Wirral Council gives the go-ahead.
