THE Riverside Players' production of Noel Coward's 'Waiting in the Wings', seen in Heswall in October, has just won Best Play award in the Fleetwood Theatre Festival.
Riverside beat off opposition from companies from Yorkshire, Lancashire and Edinburgh to take the award, with Ann Warr named Best Actress and Penny Morris Best Supporting Actress.
The ambitious 'Therese Raquin', a classic suspense story by Emile Zola, is the next Players show, on stage at Heswall Hall from November 19-22 at 8pm nightly. Tickets at £3.50 are available from Fringes Hair in Irby, The Young Generation, in The Mount, Heswall, and Rob Roy Dry Cleaners in Telegraph Road.
