ALMOST 100 members and friends attended Port Sunlight Lawn Tennis Club's dinner and disco at The Dresden Hotel, Bromborough, as part of their centenary celebrations.
Guest of honour was Mr Joe Palmer, Vice President of Cheshire LTA, and Mrs Palmer. Mr Palmer toasted the club on attaining its century.
A presentation was made to club captain Bill Connell by David Paterson, Cheshire LTA Development Officer, in recognition of Port Sunlight Men's team winning the Chester League Division One in 1997.
Club President Roy Miles gave an interesting talk on the history of the club and presented flowers to Mrs Betty Finan, Vice President, who is Port Sunlight LTC's longest serving member.
