TRANMERE Rovers has teamed up with Supermarket giant Sainsbury's to kick drugs, truancy, bullying and racism into touch.
Tranmere has launched a community initiative brochure aimed at children between 10 and 12 years of age, to educate them about various social problems.
Merseyside Police have fully supported the Tranmere Rovers community initiative in producing the booklet, which will be distributed via the education authority with a classroom input in Wirral schools.
Tranmere were one of a handful of clubs to set up a dedicated Football in the Community Office in the late 1980s and now reap the rewards as they have one of the youngest sets of supporters in football, including the Prenton Pups, Tranmere's official club for youngsters which is sponsored by the Wirral Globe.
Said Rovers Player-manager John Aldridge: "Insults and racist chants have no place inside or outside a football ground. Admire players' ability for whatever team they play for and respect all of them as people, and that will make our game all the better for everyone to enjoy."
