SUNDAY sees RAC Rally cars and historic rally cars tackling the same stages, on , Sunday November 23. Britain's premier historic rally, is based at Cirencester using several stages of the actual RAC Rally, on Sunday.

The RAC International Historic and Classic Rally Britannia starts on November 22., using the Cheltenham Rally Show as a special stage at 11.12 pm. On Sunday, the classics follow the Network Q cars through Blenheim and beats them to Vauxhall's Millbrook stage. Classics also tackle Cheltenham again before the Network Q cars arrive, at just before 5pm, on Sunday.

These classic rally cars and crews really rally, just the like the modern RAC Rally teams.

So, pick your stage for a double helping of action from modern and historic rally cars.

Rallying legend and twice British Champion Russell Brookes leads the home assault, while entrants come from as far field at USA and Japan.

Brookes will be remembered for 1979's second place in the RAC behind the wheel of a Ford Escort RS 1800. Now Brookes, aged 52, gets behind the wheel of a 1965 Porsche 911, which Jimmy McRae took to victory on the Leeds RAC Historic 12 months ago.

Porsche do well in such events but the likes of Austin Healey, MGB and Volvo provide tough opposition. European historic champion Jindrich is out to win again with a Skoda while Brit Jimmy Harrison drives the oldest car in the international field, a 1958 Ford Zephyr. Classic Rally
