MOTOR dealer Ron Armstrong is fuming after having 16 expensive cars broken into and robbed right under the noses of the police station opposite!

"How these smack heads get away with it baffles me, especially when we are right next door to the fire station and opposite Upton Police Station on a busy road."

Sixteen 4 x 4 vehicles and cars, had windows smashed, with radios stolen, between 11 pm on Friday and 7 am on Saturday.

Mr Armstrong, of the Arrowebrook Motors Group, says he is amazed no-one saw, or heard anything. He says following the crime, there was no friendly bobby approach from the police opposite. "I just hope they catch the culprit."

A spokesman said due to manpower it was not routine procedure to call in such cases but they were contacted Mr Armstrong to update him with their inquiries. Anyone with information on the theft of the radios should contact Upton Police.
