HOYLAKE Choral Society stages the first concert of its Golden Jubilee year at St Werburgh's Church this Saturday from 7.30pm, when members will present Brahm's 'German Requiem' and Vivaldi's 'Gloria'.
WIRRAL School of Dance, based in Liscard, will present two shows of 'Winter Wonderland' at The Floral Pavilion, New Brighton, on Saturday in aid of the Claire House children's hospice appeal.
And here's more good news: pupil Haley Thorbinson has recently been awarded a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Dancing to attend next year's Manchester Summer school.
DAVID TRISTRAM'S adult comedy 'Inspector Drake and the Time Machine' takes the stage at Thingwall Recreation Centre from November 27-29 under the whacky care of The New Thingwall Players. Described as a cross between Monty Python and Flash Gordon, this sounds like one not to miss!
