THE words 'tribute' and 'band' can cause a sinking feeling as, it seems, more and more copycat musicians jump on the bandwagon.
But put aside all reservations about Magic, the group presenting a concert honouring Queen at Liverpool's Empire Theatre on Saturday, November 29.
For they are no Johnny-come-latelies, taking advantage of Freddie Mercury's death, but have been in business since 1974, covering work by the Beach Boys and ELO as well as Queen.
This show, though, is a full-on Queenfest, recreating their complex, celebrated sounds. And we've got two pairs of tickets to give away to the winners of our easy-to-enter competition.
All you have to do is write the answer to the following question on the back of a postcard or stuck-down envelope and send to: Magic Competition, Globe House, Catherine Street, Birkenhead, L41 6HW, to reach us by this Friday, when the first two correct entries drawn at random will win.
And here's your question:
In which exotic city was Freddie Mercury born?
