MATCH of the day in the Bebington Darts League came in Division Two when Abbotsford's unbeaten record was sternly challenged by a St John's team only two points behind in the table.
The opening four games were shared but crucially Abbotsford took the following two games. New signing Gary Plant kept St John's hopes alive, but Shaun Woods gained Abbotsford the vital points from the eighth game.
Top game in Division One saw Eastham Home Guard defeat title chasing Quest 6-3. Kevin Lloyd's 114 finish set Stork Social Club on their way to an excellent victory at Bebington Liberal Club.
