MERSEYSIDE Police have issued an E-Fit of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the attempted abduction of an 11-year-old boy in Birkenhead two weeks ago.
The incident took place on the afternoon of Thursday, November 13, in two parts of Birkenhead. The first sighting was at 4.15pm in Mallaby Street, where a man in a white car stopped the boy to ask for directions and then drove off. At 4.40pm the boy was walking alone along Parkfield Road when he heard someone shouting. When the boy turned around, he saw the same vehicle and driver. He then walked over to the vehicle - described as a white H registration two-door hatchback with a black interior and bumpers. The driver grabbed hold of his arm through the car window but the boy managed to escape by punching the man's arm and running away.
The offender is described as a white male, late 30s, clean shaven with a black mole on his left cheek and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue jumper with a red stripe across the front above the chest and dark trousers.
If anyone has any information, please phone the hot line number at Birkenhead CID on 777-2264 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
